  • Michael Christian Team and Skills Coach

Michael Christian was born in The Netherlands while his father was serving in the Air Force. When they returned to the US, they settled in his mother's hometown of East Denver, Colorado. Growing up and playing under his father at the East Denver YMCA, Coach Christian excelled at basketball and became a starter as a freshman in high school. By the time he was a senior he had been named Colorado Player of the Year twice. He was named to the Parade, Street and Smith, and McDonalds All-American teams.

After deciding on Georgia Tech to continue his education, he became a starter as a freshman. Upon finishing his freshman year he transferred to Delgado Community College in New Orleans where he finished as the 5th scorer in the nation. He was able to land back on his feet at Tulane University where he took the Greenwave from the bottom of the Metro conference to the top.

After finishing his college career and graduating from Tulane, Coach Christian broke his leg while pursuing his professional dreams. Being taught at an early age to use basketball as a tool instead of letting it use you, he began coaching and giving back to kids and sharing the knowledge he obtained throughout his playing years.
