  • Marcus Crowell Team and Skills Coach

Marcus Crowell was born in Laurel, Mississippi where he lived with his grandparents until the age of 11. Coach Crowell then moved to Duncanville, Texas in 1981 to live with his mother. Duncanville was where he first started playing organized basketball. Often playing against older, bigger, and stronger guys in the neighborhood quickly elevated his game to where he was a 3 year starter on the state's #1 ranked team in 1988.

After high school Coach Crowell attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he started 3 games as a point guard as a freshman as well as every game of his career after that year. Coach Crowell has also played professionally in the US and abroad. He is well-known in the Dallas area for his high flying game play and intensity. Even though his career was short-lived, Coach Crowell's background of playing all 5 positions during his career has been invaluable to his training of players in all aspects of the game of basketball.
