  • Christian Jones Team and Skills Coach

Christian Jones was born in Dallas, Texas. He grew up and played under his father beginning at the age of four. He immediately found his first love in basketball.

Due to Coach Jones’ notoriety in the Dallas area, he was able to receive many top national camp invites from his middle school years on, such as Adidas Phenom, U.S. National, Five Star, and Reebok Headliners. In these camps were players such as Marcus Smart, Julius Randle, Isaiah Austin and countless others who are still currently playing Collegiate Basketball or Overseas Basketball.

In Coach Jones’ high school years, he managed to play all 4 years at the varsity level, winning several awards. He attended Wakeland his first two years and Lone Star for his last two years. By the time he was a senior Coach Jones had received letters from all kinds of D1 and D2 schools such as Wichita State, Georgia, Elon, Corpus Christi A&M, DBU, and Bethel College, just to name a few.

After deciding to further his education at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, things began to go downhill. At the start of his freshman year Coach Jones suffered an injury, tearing ligaments in his right thumb which caused him to sit out for two months. After recovery, basketball stopped being fun and instantly became work.

With basketball no longer being his passion and getting the news that his grandmother had been diagnosed with breast cancer back home, his grades began to suffer. Due to the situation he found himself in, Coach Jones decided to come back home to major in Sports Management as well as use his experiences to help the next generations to come. His dream is no longer to travel the world while playing basketball. It is to make sure today’s youth understand how to use basketball as a tool, and not let basketball use them.
